The product (Prunus armenica) is prepared only from hand picked, sound, fresh and clean apricots, which are washed, cut and dehydrated with hot air to the highest standards for food products. Product appears as soft and chewy, orange colored irregular free flowing dices. Low (<8%) or medium (14%) moisture, sieve from 6mm to 12mm.

In Europe, apricots were long considered as increasing sexual desire, and were used in this context in William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and as an inducer of childbirth, as depicted in John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi.
