Dried Blueberries are prepared by gently infusing sucrose into premium wild/cultivated blueberries. The fruit is carefully dried to preserve color and flavor. There are no preservatives, flavorings or colors added. Moisture 9-16%. Product appears as uniform dark blue color of properly matured blueberries. Typical sweetened blueberry flavor.

Blueberries, especially wild species, contain antioxidant pigments and other phytochemicals which may have a role in reducing the risks of some diseases.

At a 2007 symposium on berry health benefits were reports showing consumption of blueberries (and similar fruits including cranberries) may alleviate the cognitive decline occurring in Alzheimer's Disease and other conditions of aging.

Blueberries may help prevent urinary tract infections. Blueberry consumption lowered cholesterol and total blood lipid levels, possibly affecting symptoms of heart disease. Additional research showed that blueberry consumption can influence control of blood pressure.

Content of antioxidants in lowbush blueberries exceeds the values found in highbush blueberries. Additionally blueberries are high in manganese as well as vitamin K.
